Description: Course will cover enclosure design starting with a discussion on types of subwoofer enclosures. We will weigh the benefits and issues of Sealed, Ported and Bandpass designs. Next, we will discuss which enclosure is best for the job/vehicle at hand. We will show examples of great applications and poor decision making and cover the issues from the outcome. From there we will learn how to design a great sounding enclosure covering correctly calculating air space, how to allot for displacement and how bracing affects an enclosure. From here we will lead into finishing out enclosures and basic panel fabrication. We will cover how to quickly get profile shapes from trunks and factory vehicle panels and transfer them to MDF to create templates. We will discuss layering, fasteners, and finishing.
